Senior Vice President, Regional General Manager

Sean O’Connell serves as Senior Vice President, Regional General Manager of Optimum. In this role, Mr. O’Connell leads the company’s regional market structure and strategy across its five Areas, which includes partnering closely with groups across the business on sales, operations, and engagement efforts to ensure best-in-class service and support for all customers. This includes oversight of Optimum’s Area General Managers and their local teams. 

Mr. O’Connell previously served as the company's Vice President, General Manager of Texoma, where he led local sales, operations, and engagement efforts across Optimum’s South and East Texas and West Oklahoma footprint. Prior to joining Optimum, Mr. O'Connell spent 20 years at Comcast in various sales and marketing roles, most recently as Vice President of Call Center Sales, where he was responsible for leading and managing inbound sales, digital chat, and outbound telemarketing. In that role, he implemented strategies to drive subscriber and revenue growth, improve life value, and increase profitability while fostering an environment of collaboration for his team members to enhance customer experience.  

Throughout his career, Mr. O’Connell has developed, implemented, and analyzed strategic sales strategies to achieve revenue generating performance indicators in highly competitive environments and he has established strong sales culture focused on both employee and customer experiences. Mr. O’Connell has a proven track record of strong business growth with a key focus of his on sales operation and execution, call center management, and employee engagement.  

Mr. O’Connell holds a B.A. in Business from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire.
