Suddenlink, a brand of Altice USA, today announces that it has been selected by the Arizona Broadband Development Grant (ABDG) program to build out its Fiber Internet network to more than 7,000 homes and businesses in Arizona’s La Paz and Coconino counties.
The network build will be funded by a $6 million subsidy from the state in addition to a substantial investment by Suddenlink. The project also includes building out fiber to certain anchor institutions including many schools, medical centers, fire stations, and churches.
“We are thrilled to partner with the State of Arizona to bring our 100% Fiber Internet network to La Paz and Coconino Counties,” said Matt Grover, Altice USA’s Executive Vice President of Consumer and Business Services. “High-speed symmetrical broadband is critical to so many important activities for today’s families and businesses, and we look forward to working with state and county officials to bring fiber internet service to even more communities.”
"We are proud Suddenlink is among the impactful Arizona Broadband Development Grant Program Awardees,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “Suddenlink’s project will provide reliable internet to thousands of residents and businesses in La Paz and Coconino counties, enhancing quality of life in those areas, driving economic growth and further connecting Arizonans in all corners of our state.”
The company’s Fiber Internet network will bring customers cutting-edge broadband service with:
