News 12 Networks and Cheddar News Score More Awards with Multiple Recognitions this Month
News 12 Networks and Cheddar News have once again been recognized for excellence in storytelling and news coverage, with each network scoring multiple award wins this month.
News 12 was awarded three Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, which recognize the best in radio, television, and digital journalism. Regional Edward R. Murrow Award winners will automatically advance to compete in the national Edward R. Murrow awards competition, which will be announced later this year.
In addition, both News 12 and Cheddar News were recognized in this year’s Telly Awards, which honor excellence in video and television across all screens, with Cheddar News scoring in five categories.
News 12 also received three nominations from the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) in their Salute to Excellence Awards, which recognize journalism that best covers the Black experience or addresses issues affecting the worldwide Black community. The NABJ Salute to Excellence Winners will be announced during the 2023 NABJ Convention & Career Fair, which will take place August 2–6, in Birmingham, Alabama.
