Altice USA Provides Customer Support and Employee Assistance for Hurricane Laura Relief Efforts
Altice USA, the provider of Suddenlink-branded internet, TV and phone services, is providing assistance to local communities, customers and employees in impacted areas of Louisiana following the recent devastating weather events related to Hurricane Laura.
In addition to Suddenlink assessment and restoration crews working around the clock to assist in areas where physical access has been permitted, the company has implemented the following measures:
- Donations totaling $150,000, including a $50,000 donation to the Community Foundation of Southwestern Louisiana and $100,000 in free advertising time for the Red Cross
- An Employee Disaster Relief Fund to assist employees directly affected by Hurricane Laura, with a company match of up to $50,000.
- WiFi connectivity zones have been established in impacted areas where residents can access free WiFi. Current WiFi locations include:

Suddenlink services are being restored in certain areas, however network damage and power outages continue to impact service for many customers. Crews are working closely with local utilities to ensure the timely restoration of Suddenlink services following the restoration of commercial power. Suddenlink has also brought in out-of-state crews to assist local teams in restoration.
